Cortex IOS Product Terms of Use

1. Scope

These Terms apply to authorised users of Cortex IOS, including:

Students

Parents and Guardians

Teachers

School Administrators

Principals

School Management

Finance & Accounts Personnel

Non-Teaching Staff

Authorised IT Administrators

Aionpixel Support Personnel (where authorised)

API Consumers authorised by the School

These Terms apply regardless of whether the Platform is accessed using:

Web Browser

Android Application

iOS Application

Approved APIs

Future supported platforms

2. Relationship Between the School and Aionpixel

Cortex IOS is provided to educational institutions under a separate agreement between Aionpixel and the subscribing School.

In most circumstances:

The School determines what personal information is collected and managed through Cortex IOS.

The School determines which users are authorised to access the Platform.

Aionpixel provides the technology platform, hosting, maintenance, security, and related support services.

Users should understand that certain requests relating to educational records may need to be directed to their School.

3. User Accounts

Each authorised user is assigned an individual account.

Users must:

maintain accurate account information;

keep login credentials confidential;

use only their own account;

notify the School or Aionpixel promptly of suspected unauthorised access.

The School remains responsible for provisioning, modifying, suspending, and terminating user accounts.

4. Acceptable Use

Users agree to use Cortex IOS only for legitimate educational, administrative, and operational purposes.

Users must not:

access another person's account;

share passwords or authentication credentials;

misuse student or staff information;

upload malicious software;

interfere with Platform security;

reverse engineer the Platform;

attempt unauthorised access;

use automated tools to compromise Platform functionality;

violate applicable laws or School policies.

5. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

protecting account credentials;

using authorised devices where required;

maintaining accurate information;

reporting security incidents;

complying with School policies;

respecting the privacy of other users.

Parents and Guardians are responsible for supervising the use of Cortex IOS by younger students where appropriate.

6. Privacy and Personal Information

The collection and processing of personal information through Cortex IOS is governed by:

Cortex IOS Product Privacy Policy;

Parent & Guardian Privacy Notice;

Student Privacy Notice;

School Staff Privacy Policy;

Information Security Statement.

Users are encouraged to review these documents carefully.

7. Intellectual Property

Cortex IOS, including its software, user interfaces, documentation, trademarks, graphics, and associated intellectual property, is owned by or licensed to Aionpixel Technologies Private Limited.

Schools retain ownership of the educational records, documents, and content they upload to the Platform.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Aionpixel's intellectual property to users or Schools.

8. Data Ownership

Educational records created and maintained within Cortex IOS remain under the control of the subscribing School, subject to applicable law.

Aionpixel processes such information solely for the purpose of providing the Platform and related services.

Users retain any rights afforded to them under applicable privacy laws.

9. Platform Availability

Aionpixel uses commercially reasonable efforts to provide reliable access to Cortex IOS.

Planned maintenance, updates, or emergency activities may temporarily affect Platform availability.

Where reasonably practicable, advance notice of scheduled maintenance will be provided.

10. Security

Aionpixel implements administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards designed to protect information processed through Cortex IOS.

Users also play an important role in maintaining security by protecting their credentials, securing their devices, and promptly reporting suspicious activity.

11. Product Updates

We continuously improve Cortex IOS.

Accordingly, we may:

introduce new features;

modify existing functionality;

improve security;

enhance performance;

retire obsolete features.

Where changes materially affect these Terms or our privacy practices, updated documentation will be published and, where appropriate, users may be required to accept revised Terms.

12. Suspension or Termination

Access to Cortex IOS may be suspended or terminated where necessary to:

protect Platform security;

investigate suspected misuse;

comply with legal obligations;

enforce these Terms;

comply with School instructions regarding user accounts.

Termination of a user's account does not automatically result in deletion of educational records, which remain subject to the School's retention obligations and applicable law.

13. Disclaimers

Cortex IOS is provided on an "as available" basis.

While Aionpixel strives to maintain reliable service, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aionpixel shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from:

misuse of the Platform by users;

inaccurate information entered by authorised users;

internet connectivity failures;

third-party service interruptions beyond our reasonable control;

force majeure events.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over the registered office of Aionpixel Technologies Private Limited, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
